This Sunday is a Communion Sunday. For those of you attending the service in person, instructions for taking communion (with social distancing) will be given at the beginning of the service. For those of you taking Communion at home the elements you will need for communion are bread, matza or crackers and some type of juice. What is more important is how your family chooses who takes communion? Our reformed perspective is only children who have a clear understanding of th...e gospel, have repented of their sins and know Jesus as their Savior and Lord, have given a public profession of faith and are baptized can receive communion. We certainly cannot monitor each family and as such we leave with you what you as a family will do but we do see this as an opportunity for the parents to explain the meaning of communion to their children. Our hope is as we come to the table together and receive communion we will experience the soul renewing and faith strengthening presence of the Good Shepherd in our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
