Snow Emergency Declaration February 07,2021 It is the desire and duty of the Brookhaven Borough Mayor to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Brookhaven Borough. I, Denise Leslie, Mayor of Brookhaven Borough hereby declare a snow emergency for the Borough of Brookhaven from 4 AM on Sunday, February 07, 2021 until 4 AM Monday February 08, 2021. The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and may produce wide-spread power outages due to the weight of th...e snow on tree limbs and power lines. We encourage all borough residents to stay off the roads if possible to allow our First Responders, Public Safety and Emergency Management Personnel to respond to any emergencies. Please join us in congratulating Dave Evans on his promotion to Public Works Supervisor. Mr. Evans has been employed by Brookhaven Borough in the Public Works department for 26 years and has served as acting supervisor for the past 17 months. The Public Works department is in great hands under Mr. Evans leadership. We wish him all the best!

Delaware County is hosting free flu shot clinics on October 22 and 23 from 10am-3pm at the Middletown Fire Company, located at 425 South New Middletown Road in Media. Free flu shots will be available to all residents of Delaware County, 3 years of age or older. Volunteers from the County’s Medical Reserve Corps will be supporting the County’s Department of Intercommunity Health and Emergency Management team. County Council and the County’s Department of Intercommunity Health are working to make it as safe and convenient as possible for residents to get vaccinated. The drive-through format is intended to make it safer and more convenient for older residents, those with disabilities, and parents with small children, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
