This Saturday, March 20th - FOOD SALE begins at 6:00 p.m. Ray's Meats is having a food sale at Burrell Twp VFD with many different foods (dry goods, bacon, yogurt, oj, cheeses and etc) The kitchen will be OPEN earlier, so stop in for dinner! You'll want to bring some change in dollar bills for your purchases because you'll pay the runner for your purchase each time you buy something. Bring a bag or cooler with an ice pack to collect your purchases. Hope to see you there!! Thank you for your continued support of BTVFD! The latest model runs have trended upward with snowfall amounts for Wednesday and Wednesday night. As the snowfall amounts increase, so does the uncertainty. Th...e models have not yet found common ground with the placement of the low on Wednesday. One group wants to keep the low inland and slow its progression Wednesday and Wednesday evening. Another group wants to move the storm out to sea much faster. The inland/slower group has more snow for the entire area, put particularly in PA and WV. So, to address these changes and the uncertainty, we have expanded the original watch westward. All of the models are in agreement that the ridges will see warning level snowfall, so the original watch has been upgraded to a warning. We are hoping that new data today will find some agreement raising our confidence going forward. Stay tuned. See more
