Food Packers: Food packers are responsible for preparing and packing food products in the food production line and to load ingredients into industrial equipment. Food Packers also monitor the machinery during the cooking and mixing process to make sure product quality standards are being met. Job Responsibilities: a. Monitor food cooking machines and adjust the controls for devices such as boilers, kettles, filler, capper etc. ... b. Program kitchen equipment to operate according to company and recipe standards and make changes to cooking temperature and time c. React to any type of alarms or malfunctions of the equipment and operate the shut-off switch when necessary d. Load raw ingredients into the cooking machine and measure the amount needed by following company recipes e. Comprehend written instructions and recipes from the company when putting together ingredients and starting a new batch of products f. Remove the finished product from the production line and push batches to the next step of the process for packaging g. Verify that each finished item meets the quality standards of the company by observing the texture, shape and look of each processed item h. Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the end of each day and clean the workspace by following Food safety Plan cleaning procedures Job Requirements: a. Ability to follow all appropriate safety standards in food production b. Knowledge of basic math and reading comprehension skills c. High school or otherwise approved diploma (GED) Preferred but not required: a. Experience working in food production or in an industrial kitchen b. Knowledge of quality assurance practices c. Better Process Control School Course Certification. Compensation: Food Packers will be compensated by hourly wages; Food Packers will receive a bi-weekly paycheck.
