Working on Cranberry Butterscotch Kuglof! Also, a word about our hours... This combination is quite new! Kuglof is really special! It’s a little bigger, it’s soft, and it’s very dunkable. I can see us bringing a freshly baked Kuglof to our relatives in Budapest when we come to visit! If you haven’t tried a Kuglof, then you simply must the next time you see it under the dome! A side note; the last time we were at Andre’s in New York, (last year, on our 25th anniversary ...Friends pop-up trip); they had Kuglof all over the place! Must have been a Kuglof Fest? Oh those were the days when... but I digress... Also, we will be open until 5p this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; HOWEVER, unfortunately, we must return to closing at 2p everyday. The additional hours weren’t supported enough for it to work longer. It’s just not the right time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Be Happy Stay Healthy! Enjoy Kuglof!

Farmers Cheesecake, Extending Hours, & More!!! Here we have a beautiful crust bottom for our Farmers Cheesecake, baking in the oven at this very minute! So very important as the crust is the foundation of this lovely cake! Also, beginning 15 October, we are extending the Thursday and Friday hours to 5p! As of the 31st of October, which is a Saturday, we are open til 5p on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! This will be permanent, going forward.... This past Friday evening, Mom & Pop lugged in a whole lot of coffee beans! Mrs. Szép is really strong ! We also would like to take this opportunity to let you know that we are planning to slowly return to our regular hours! They used to be 7a to 5p Monday through Friday and 9a to 5p on the weekend, before the pandemic. We say slowly because we are working on hiring good people to add to our quality team we have now. This takes time and, hopefully, we can do just that.... This is why we had the hiring post on a few weeks ago. At first, it will probably be a couple of days. Currently, we are open until 2p and we will keep you advised of any changes to this. Please continue to check out this page as well as signage in the café for updates! We hope you all are happy, healthy, and enjoying freshly roasted Amadeus coffee. Mrs. Szép roasts these in one-and-a half pound batches, over a flame, in our Jabez Burns roaster! As you can see we have a lot to Brew for you! What you see, pictured, is over 1,200 pounds of green beans! Thank you for supporting our small family business!
