Alright guys.. with the temps being consistentlycold and everyone(for the most part) adjusting(and after talking with some other local instructors), I am going to tweek the temperature cutoff for lessons! To keep riding a positive experience, kiddos under 9yo will continue to stay at the 30 cut off! With hopes that March we can get back some consistency!! Riders 9 and older will start with new cut off at 25! I will be taking in account the "real feel" and wind as well as sun and still air!! Bundle your riders!! Leggings or breeches with a pair of sweatpants over top are a great option!! Shirts with tumb holes help keep the hands warmer even without gloves! Taller socks and even boots with feet warmers at the toe are great! As well as hand warmers in the palm of gloves!

I am planning on having a ground work lesson week soon for the students. All are tacking and riding wonderfully so I would really like them to get an idea of ground work fundamentals and how important is it to start from the ground up!! That way if they choose to continue their horse venture to owning one of their own they will know where to start :) If youd rather not have your child take part in a ground work lesson please let me know ahead of time so i can assign a riding horse. But please do considering letting them expand their knowledge in all areas of horsemanship
