Good day and a blessed Tuesday March 30th 2021 . Hard to believe that there is only one more day left in March . Wow after tomorrow 3 months of 2021 gone already . Where has it gone ? I am posting this post on Hope because I know a lot of the Calvary family and a lot of people in the world are struggling to not just maintain their hope but keep their hope . Many have lost hope in our government, many have lost their hope in our health system , many have lost hope in our finan...cial system , many have lost their hope for the future , many have lost hope with each other . Hope is like the oxygen without it we cannot survive and we die . It’s no different for many believers and churches - lost hope in their church , pastors , other believers , lost hope in prayer , the Word of God , lost hope in themselves and worse of all lost hope in Jesus and in turn find themselves in depression, discouragement and spiritual and physical suicide. Here we are in what is called Passion week or Holy Week where the plan of God is revealed to save us who are lost by the death of Christ on the cross ( Good Friday ) culminating with the Empty Tomb on Resurrection Sunday - He Is Risen Our hope is not found in anything not even religion or anyone but Jesus Christ who was crucified and rose again bringing a eternal hope so we can overcome to live eternally in Him . Where is your Hope found today ? Are you like a ship being tossed to and fro ? Have you put your anchor in Jesus and not man ? Today was the Homecoming celebration for Bill Heisterman. It was a beautiful service led by his son Billy along with Denise and Debbie , his grandkids and with words by Sara ( married almost 59 years ). I was privileged to represent the Calvary family and was able to say a few words of what Bill meant to Calvary and to me as a pastor and individual. There is no doubt Bill and Sara left a big impression and impact on Calvary past and future. Bill was a man who greatly loved the Word , teach the Word , Evangelized and Pray. RIP Bill as you have received your eternal crown of righteousness. The flowers are from the Heisterman family for Calvary

Happy birthday to Jacynth Drumhiller from your Calvary family. What a blessing you are to all of us in many different ways especially on the piano but more so your love for God and the spirit of God in you . Have a blessed day celebrating your birthday from all of us . God bless you

Good night to everyone . Serious prayers are needed for Rachel Fuller as she battles brain tumor along with Robbi , Dave , Naomi and Corey . A supernatural touch from God we pray . Also for Dave M needs all of prayers for the wisdom and healing of God so he can go home soon . Prayers for others like Patty and Jim B , Sherri Driscoll, Turtle and Janet F, Janet S, our elders and shut ins Bill and Sara H, Sister Jean , Freda G, Esther P, Floyd S plus others who need prayer Tonya G , for our country with all that’s going on and God will provide all of our provision financially for Calvary church and all of us . Lord send a revival we pray. Amen

We got updated word from Marla Myers that JD Ritenour is in very serious need of prayers for his health . He is in Uniontown Hospital and he is not doing well at all and needs a divine healing . There is serious concern for his health . Prayers are also needed for Marla and all the family for the peace and help of God . Please be praying for this family in their time of need . Also continued prayers for Rachel Fuller and Family, Dave McKendry for the lord’s wisdom and healing and many many others in our church family. Good news Janet Dellinger rotator cuff surgery went well yesterday prayers needed for her continued recovery. Prayers for Bill and Betty Richter needed as well . But please say prayers for JD Ritenour as soon as possible . Lord hear our prayers and send your divine help to all in need of it . Amen

A reminder with all that’s going on to stop all the chatter and all the outside noise and find your prayer closet and seek the Lord . It will be ok too often we forget we serve the Lord . God bless one and all this Monday January 11th , 2021

Good Wednesday morning Calvary family prayers for one and all as we move through this month of January 2021 . I just love this Word of God from Isaiah 41 :8-10 a reminder of Gods promises in these difficult times of upheaval and change we are living in . The trials and challenges have seemed to overlapped into 2021 impacting all of us one way or another. It has also impacted the church and members of of our church family. But we are encouraged that God hasn’t abandoned us and He is still God . Don’t panic He is with us , He is our strength, He will not let us go !!! For those who are struggling hold on because He will not let you go . Prayers that this might be a blessing and encouragement to someone who needs to hear this . Prayers for a blessed Tuesday for the Calvary family and friends. Prayers are needed today for Janet D. having surgery on her rotator cuff today ( outpatient) surgery and Stephanie Griffith ( Jan’s daughter ) in the hospital due to her sugar . It is easy to find one self overwhelmed by all that is going on in this world but rest assured in the promises of God as found in my posting for today . God is aware of all our needs . - Pastor Matt

Reminder Don Richter will be starting back tomorrow teaching our adult Sunday School class from 9:20-10:20am . We will offer two options for those who want to join us for our morning celebration at 10:30am 1) Online or 2) in-house. As with last week we have done what we can to sanitize and disinfect the Sanctuary and other parts of the church . We have hand sanitizers at each entryway in the church . We are asking people to wear mask to their seats and as they leave out of r...espect for their brothers and sisters . Social distancing is also taking place . We are doing all we can to offer our Calvary family these two choices for them and their families during this time of Covid . Whatever decision you make we want you to know we are respectful. Tomorrow is our first Mission Offering for 2021 let’s do all we can to support our Missionaries as they look to us for prayer and financial support . Please keep in your prayers for tomorrow Deanna K at noon tomorrow she will be having her long awaited surgery to straighten her toes on her good foot .They will be putting a rod in each toe needless to say very painful. This is a outpatient surgery so once I get word I will update everyone . Prayers for a successful surgery and then prayers for healing and recovery. Let’s believe God to see Dean...na through this . Unspoken prayers are needed for Omer for tomorrow. Let’s respect his privacy ( not Covid ) and pray . No update yet on Rachel Fuller from her surgery yesterday respecting their privacy as well. Good morning to all the Calvary family

(Tina) Thought this was really good so I wanted to share......

Received word from Robbi that Rachel has made it through surgery finally. They didn’t take her down for surgery till 5:30pm. The surgery lasted almost 4 hours . The doctors felt they got what they needed of Rachel tumor that has been causing Rachel’s seizures . Robbi said Rachel is in ICU and the family can see her for a half hour tonight . They took a biopsy and please pray it comes back benign . If she needs surgery it will be next Thursday. Prayers needed for Rachel’s recovery and healing. Also for Robbi , Naomi , Dave and Corey for strength and peace going forward . Lord hear our prayers for Rachel and this family . Amen

Tonight we celebrated National First Responders Day with a combined Wednesday night ( Children , Youth and adults ) with Officers Garlick k- 9 Officer Ambroose . They gave a great presentation on what all Officer Garlick and Officer Ambroose do to protect and serve our city of Connellsville. We were also excited as the Boyzz club presented Officer Garlick a check for $265 from a fundraiser to help support Officer Ambroose . Overall a great night at Calvary Assembly . We are a Beacon of Gods love and help . Reminder to pray for all our First Responders as they sacrifice and serve in what they do.

Reminder that Rachel Fuller will have her Biopsy done today at 2:30 to determine what is the next steps are in treating Rachel concerning her brain tumor per Robbi . Your prayers appreciated and needed for Rachel ( strength and calm of God ) and for Robbi , Dave and Naomi for peace as they wait for the results . Prayers are also needed for Deanna K as she will be having major surgery on her toes ( to straighten them out) on her good foot this week . This food distribution is open to anyone in need of food assistance regardless of income or family size . If you have any questions please use the phone number on the flyer . With the upcoming election now just a week away it’s so important and critical we spend time on our knees before God praying for His direction and outcome. This election will be one of the most important of our nations history and in recent years. We have 2020 Voter Guides available in the Foyers of the church for those who want to educate themselves on the candidates . Also the church is open Monday- Thursday from 9am- Noon for those who want to come in and pray for this election or any other prayer needs . 2 Chronicles 7:14 . If you need any prayer guidelines see Betty Lou . I would encourage every believer of Calvary to pray and fast one meal a day for the next 7 for the upcoming elections. Update on Rachel Fuller the procedure for today has been moved back to tomorrow. So please keep praying for Gods supernatural intervention of Wisdom for the doctors , for peace over Rachel , Robbi , Dave and Naomi and a good report following the surgery . Your prayers mean a lot to this family so please Prayer Warriors stay focused and let’s believe God will create a miracle for this family . Will keep you informed as I am informed

This Wednesday at 6:30 PM we will be having a special night as Officer Garlick and Officer Ambroos will be joining us for a special presentation from our Boyz Club to the K-9 unit. It is going to be a great evening. We hope you will join us!!
