Cambria County Camp Cadet 30.03.2021

A huge Thank You to High Street Body Shop in Ebensburg for hosting a 5K Race, honoring Autumn Danchanko, and benefiting Cambria County Camp Cadet! Even through these trying times in our country, we still have people thinking about and making a difference in our program. THANK YOU High street Body Shop!!! Let’s put a challenge out to past Cambria County Camp Cadet Graduates. Who can get the most cadets from their class to sign up for this 5K Race? Wear your Camp Cadet shirt and show some pride in your accomplishment. We are @campcadetproud

All of us at Cambria County Camp Cadet would like to THANK a group of ladies, that goes by the name of "Trooper Moms" for their generous donation of $400, to our Camp Cadet Program. This donation was made in memory of our co-worker and friend, Leslie Kasecky. A special Thank You goes out to Heather Bidgood for getting the check to us. If there are any Trooper Moms out there that see this post, and would like to be a part of this great group, feel free to reach out to Heather via facebook messenger and she can get you information. Thank you again "Trooper Moms" for thinking about us during these difficult times at Cambria County Camp Cadet and PSP Ebensburg. For some reason it won't allow me to tag Heather, so here is a link to her page if you would like to message her about the group. https://www.facebook.com/hbidgood

Due to safety concerns and the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Pennsylvania State Police has decided to cancel all Camp Cadet Programs for 2021. Therefore, we are sorry to announce the 2021 Cambria County Camp Cadet Program is also cancelled. Hopefully things will improve and we can return in 2022.

It is with great sadness that everyone at Cambria County Camp Cadet and PSP Ebensburg says goodbye to our dear friend, and long time co-worker, Leslie Kasecky. Leslie was the first Clerk to ever be hired at PSP Ebensburg and has been a staple at our barracks for over 24 years. Leslie was one of the kindest, most loving people in the world, and would give the shirt off her back to anyone. Although she never wanted any credit, Leslie was VERY instrumental in the success of our Camp Cadet Program; spending weeks and sometimes months preparing for some of our fundraising events. We would like to send our sincere condolences to Leslie's Daughter, Lauren, Husband, Mike, Sister, Michelle, and all of Leslie's family and Friends. Fly high Leslie, thank you for being a part of our lives!

How about a big shout out to the Forest Hills School District, and their students, for holding a fundraiser to donate some goodies to our men and women in blue at PSP Ebensburg. Thank you Rangers! We appreciate it more than you could know.

As you know from our previous post, Johnstown Police K9 Officer Titan was part of the Cambria County Camp Cadet Family. Now starts the healing process for our fellow officers and a time to rebuild in "Titan's" Memory. A GoFundMe page has been created to help start that rebuilding process. Please visit the link below to help support our friends at the Johnstown City Police Department and to help keep Titan's memory Alive https://www.gofundme.com/f/johnstown-titan

Everyone at Cambria County Camp Cadet sends our sincere condolences to Officer Brian Stevens and the Johnstown Police Department on the tragic line of duty death of K9 Officer, Titan. They are more than just animals, they are family, and Titan will always be part of our Camp Cadet Family. Pictures of Titan at the 2019 Cambria County Camp Cadet Program.
