Today's Meditation: How does Jesus call his disciples to respond first? Matthew 9:34 and 10:16 Reflection: We know that mission work is important, be we often unsure about where to start. Jesus began noticing and caring about the need (9:36) and then instructing His friends to pray. If the Lord has called your attention t a particular person or group, pray for them. Through prayer God prepares our hearts and minds to care for people the way He does. ... Jesus instructed His disciples to do exactly what he had been doing. We don't need to re-invent mission. Do what Jesus did: tell people that God's kingdom is close and the King is here and offer restoration (7,8). The disciples were encouraged to trust God to give them what they needed to do the job (9-11). Prepare for rejection, but don't be discourage, trust God and don't give up the mission. Prepare for action. Pray. Tell those you encounter about the love of God and Expect miracles!!!!

Today's Meditation: How does Jesus define the life built on the rock? Matthew 7:24... Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: It's easy enough to be a Christian " in our heads"- having blessed thoughts and pondering good intentions. But the old question finds us out: "If you were changed with being a Christian there be enough evidence to convict you?" As Jesus draws to the end of his Sermon on the mount, he applies a single test to his listeners' response: will they do it? Will they "walk the talk"? This is a very Jewish approach, treating soul and body, thought and action, as a whole. Our faith will be judged by what we actually do ( Matthew 25:35,36) and not by fine words alone Jesus' example is of two houses that are both subjected to storm and flood. The houses may look identical, and the deluge is the same for both, but it is the house built on the rock that remains standing. For Jesus, it is the person who hears and does His Word who will have a firm place to stand in testing times to come. Is you faith evidence by action? Prayerfully reflect on this question and journal your thoughts?

Today's Meditation: Be anxious for nothing, but let your request be made know to God. Philippians 4-6 Reflection for the Day: God can handle it!... Life doesn't come with simple directions, and we do not find all of the necessary parts all the time. Situations come up and we are not clear on how to handle it, But we do not need to worry because God want us to bring them to Him. Try Him!

Today's Meditation: Matthew 14:28. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. Reflection for the Day: Make sure you are following God not Man... Being sent across the sea by Jesus, the disciples found themselves in the midst of a great storm. While the other Apostles fell victim to fear, Peter focused himself on Jesus. He cried out to the Lord who was now standing on the water. He wanted to be assured that it was truly Jesus. Once he knew who he was, he requested that Jesus bid him to come. He needed to know it was Jesus that he was following. Your faith cannot be placed in self or others, it must be in the hands of the Lord. Before taking action, and calling it faith, be assured it is Jesus that you are following. Through prayer, insist on determining that it is the Lord that you are responding to. He will guide you to victory.

Today's Meditation: Isaiah 30:21- At the crossroads of life make sure that you look to the Lord as well as the various options. God still can say to your, " This is the way; walk in it". The risen Lord has promised to go ahead of us, but we hold back. He has promised us victory over the powers and authorities, but w try and play it both ways. We want instant success and are not prepared for the long haul. And so, in the end, we settle for mediocrity, when the Lord wants us t...o be a clear testimony to his power and might. Like the Israelites, we too often end up snared in a trap that we walked into with our eyes wide open. Claim the promise of Isaiah 30:21!!!!!! It is for us

Today's Meditation: Philippians 3:8, I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. Will we live to draw attention to ourselves? Or will we focus on the privilege of knowing and experiencing a more intimate relations with Jesus? Giving Him all of us to use, or will you put yourself first! More of Him or More of you!!! What is your choice?

Today's Meditation: Philippians 4: 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
