Canine Emergency Search And Rescue 345, a division of VMSC of Lansdale

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of K9 Nunzio. He passed away peaceful in his sleep, only a few months shy of his 13th birthday. K9 Nunzio was from The Seeing Eye, Inc. and bred to be the eyes of a blind person. As luck would have it, too many dogs in his class qualified to be seeing eye dogs and Nunzio was released back to his original puppy raising family. Brent Stouffer then trained and handled K9 Nunzio for over 7 years and participated in countless searches throughout southeast Pennsylvania. He served with Second Alarmer's Association and Rescue Squad of Montgomery County before becoming a founding member with CESAR 345. K9 Nunzio’s drive was nearly unstoppable and his desire to search was unmatched. Please keep the Stouffer family and the entire CESAR team in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn this loss.

Message From Asst. Chief Jon Detweiler of VMSC of Lansdale: It is with a heavy heart that I write to notify you that, this afternoon, Ron Long lost a valiant battle to cancer. Ron was 48 years old and a dedicated father as well as a brother and partner in service with an infectious smile that could never be forgotten. He has faithfully served the VMSC of Lansdale family since 2006 as an EMT. Additionally, he served the public through both Trappe Fire Company and Lower Providence EMS.
