Communities In Schools Pennsylvania Announces Opening of Dauphin County Re-Engagement Center! The Re-Engagement Center (REC) serves young people (ages 16 24) in Dauphin County who have dropped out or otherwise disengaged from school, providing a single door of re-entry into the education system. Whether it’s re-enrollment in traditional school, finding an online or blended option that fits, or pursuing a high school equivalency credential, we believe there is a pathway to s...uccess for every motivated student and our purpose is to help young people navigate that process. In addition to the academic component, we support participants through case management and wraparound services to help them overcome the barriers that interrupted their educational pathway in the first place. Officially open today, March 25th, DC Re-Engagement Center has priority for two specific categories of participants: 1) those between the ages of 16-19 living in the Harrisburg School District who are interested in returning to an academic setting to complete their high school diploma OR 2) those between the ages of 18 24 living anywhere in Dauphin County who are interested in achieving a high school credential (GED or HiSET). If you are working with clients who might fit these categories, you can refer them to us via email by contacting [email protected] or by calling 800-284-8854. Website: https://www.thedcrec.org/
