A very unique birthday gift from Brett and Morgan. Now I understand that Macy’s is still closed but you didn’t have to spend so much on me this year. But it was still nice of them to think of me.

Birthday weekend party at my happy place. Started out at 5am with a ten pound bone in pork butt. Smoked it for about 9 hours at 250 degrees. It wasn’t a pulled pork it was more of a fall apart pork. Absolutely fantastic for my second time ever smoking. Then I moved on to the three grills. Ribs, beef and chicken shish-kabobs. Of course the beer, wine and spiked seltzers were plentiful. Ended with some fantastic deserts. Thanks to my family for putting it together and my fri...ends who were able to make it celebrating my 60th. I wouldn’t have wanted a better day. This past week was like no other week We’ve experienced. We started with limiting customers to two at a time with one companion each. We ended with having to lock our front doors to walk in customers and limiting the amount of orders we could handle including some walk up customers to the side door. The email and Mercato orders were so overwhelming we couldn’t keep up. But in the end I believe we were able to fill 99% of requests. It took some 18 hour days on my part but we g...ot it done. I apologize to the few customers we disappointed. It wasn’t intentional of course and it hurts me just as much as you.
