I often get asked "What is fascia?" Well, here's an incredible photo of this densely-woven fibrous tissue that surrounds and protects our entire body! When fasc...ia is healthy, it is relaxed and can stretch and move without restriction. When our bodies experience physical or emotional trauma, inflammatory responses or surgical procedures, it can restrict fascia, causing pain and tension. Myofascial Release therapy provides individualized, hands-on treatments performed without creams or oils that detect fascial restrictions and apply gentle sustained pressure to the affected area to eliminate pain and restore motion.
