For today we made a delicious cold salad of rice noodles with julienned snow peas, bell peppers, bok choy, carrots and toasted sesame seeds. It will be served with a YELLOWFIN TUNA STEAK seared to rare and sliced and fanned out over top with a little bit of sriracha aïoli and fresh cilantro. Election Day isn't a national holiday, nor is it one in Pennsylvania. Nevertheless, Carmalt will be closed on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. While Michaelyn and I are enthusiastic participants in our democracy, and fully encourage such participation, the decision to close this Tuesday wasn't actually a political one. We are having some roof issues that need addressing, and, by chance, this is when it could be done.... So, we look forward to a beautiful, sunny, peaceful Wednesday morning, when we will again be here to take your calls, answer your questions, and continue on with life, which is always better with soup (and a slice of cake). -Francis
