We just received this news from 1st-year student Kunal Khadilkar... Congratulations on a job well done, to Kunal and fellow first-year collaborator Pulkit Goel! "Hi Prof. Nyberg, Hope you are doing well. I am at Boston, just finished attending the AI for Social Impact Workshop at Harvard.... I got an amazing response regarding the idea we proposed in the workshop. Many Professors and PhD students enquired about our project, and gave extremely encouraging feedback. Prof. Milind Tambe told me that it was a great idea and he was looking forward to the bot being deployed. I also gave a lightning talk in front of the distinguished dignitaries and fellow researchers, where I explained about our project and its social impact. The judging was based on the contents of the talk as well as the poster, and from the 60 participants, they selected 5 participants to be felicitated with the best poster + talk award. I am delighted to share that I was among those 5 participants, and won the best poster + talk award, for our 'PetitionBot: Converting Anger into Constructive Criticism on Social Media' project. I had an amazing time interacting with fellow researchers passionate about AI for Social Impact, and I'll share in detail about my experience when we meet. Please find attached some pictures of the event. Sincerely, Kunal Khadilkar"
