Recently, Glen Meadows surprised Lilly Szamski, who works in dining services with the distinction of Server of the Year. The award was presented in front of residents and staff, including her mother (pictured), who is an RN at Glen Meadows, at a "Taco Tuesday" celebration. Lilly is the longest-tenured server we have. She is the rock, mortar and foundation of our Dining Services operation during the day. From fielding dozens of phone calls to preparing groceries, Lilly does ...it all. When the Dining Committee met to vote on our Server of the Year, it was a unanimous decision to give it to Lilly. If there’s one thing I could point out about Lilly that puts her above the rest it would be her demeanor. We all forget sometimes how a smile or a cheerful tone of voice can brighten someone’s day. Lilly brightens the day of the residents at Glen Meadows every morning she works. We are truly blessed to have her on our team. Josh Steinour, Director of Dining Services. Congratulations and thank you Lilly for all your heart you have given to Glen Meadows!
The staff and residents of St. Andrew’s Village would like to send out a huge thank you to the Graystone Presbyterian Church of Indiana, members of the Indiana Community and Usborne Books & More. The Graystone Presbyterian Church raised $695 in donations for books and Usborne Books & More matched the total to be able to provide 174 books to the St. Andrew’s Village residents! The residents wanted the organizations and community to know how thankful they are for this thoughtful kind gesture. A special thank you to Merrylee Morschhauser for organizing this donation drive for the residents. Some of the books included word search, trivia, magic painting, logic puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, as well as touch and sound books!
Fletcher, a Glen Meadows resident was one of the several residents who were surprised with a hand delivered, personalized ice cream sundae to celebrate their birthdays! Fletcher also took time for a selfie with Community Life Director, Gretchen Haas. Please help us in wishing Fletcher a happy belated birthday!

For Christmas, the Suicide Prevention of York donated 200 gift bags for residents at Shrewsbury Courtyards and Westminster Place at Stewartstown! Inside was a clementine, hot chocolate, lotion, a bookmark, a Take 5 bag (ornament and candy inside), and an adorable reindeer candy cane. The residents were so pleased with their little gift bags!
Over the holidays, The Easton Home staff helped residents decorate their doors to spread some holiday cheer! Each door had a theme that was relevant to the interests of the resident!
Yesterday, Quincy Village was the second PSL community to receive the Pfizer vaccine administered by CVS Pharmacy representatives. Nearly 200 residents and staff received the vaccine!
