Dead white pine removal, nestled in between the wires, climbing dead trees is always a test of nerves.

More storm damage work. Today we removed this uprooted walnut tree leaning over a fence into the neighbors Sweet Gum tree. Some are trickier than others.

Some emergency storm damage work today. Heck of a storm yesterday. Small maple on house service lines and a small walnut on a roof. Thankfully there was no serious damage on either job.

So today when we were on our second job the neighbor came over and wanted a price on some work. I went over and it was a small tree that another tree outfit deadwooded this spring. Well they missed two limbs and she wanted me to take them out. She said how much? I said no charge, she was very appreciative. I like to do things like this for older people, good karma. While I was cleaning up from our second job, which was all ground work, I realized I didn’t have my helmet. I re...membered I was going to put it away but got distracted and put it on the fender of the chipper at the first job. Oops. It was now two hours since we had left the first job. No chance I’d find my helmet, but it was only a few blocks away, so we did a drive by. We found the helmet on a fire hydrant just down the road from the job. And placed upon the helmet was a painted rock. It’s hard to keep a positive attitude when you watch the news, but sometimes in our small little part of the world, people are pretty cool. See more
