Join Global Citizen on September 30th for their National Recovery Day event at City Hall from 10:30 am- 1:30 pm. The event is called Sober Up! Nowhere to Go But Up and is a recovery resource fair, which will have the resources and support such as outpatient and inpatient recovery centers, employment opportunities, and counseling to all those affected by addiction- those recovering from substance use disorder, family members, and friends- on the journey to recovery as well as those experiencing homelessness. Learn more about the organizations throughout Philadelphia who aid in the recovery process and hear speakers share their stories about substance use disorder and recovery! Thank you to everyone who Volunteered! A special thank you goes to the Ozanam Scholars Program at St. John's University for coming down from New York to help out. Through your time and effort, we were able to make and deliver over 700 sandwiches to Women of Hope, St. John's Hospice Philadelphia, Bethesda Project, and Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission.
