COVID-19 Update June 2020 Our community has been through a lot over the past three months and we are all looking forward to a gradual transition to our more normal routines. As our area moves into the Yellow phase, we wanted to update you to our approach as your Medical Home. Your health and safety remain our top priority and we strictly adhere to the recommendations made by the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Adm...inistration (OSHA). What has changed: - We have implemented even more rigorous and frequent cleaning of all exam rooms, high touch areas and public restrooms - We are requiring all who enter our office to wear masks this includes patients, chaperones, staff and providers - Hand sanitizer is available at entry and exit points of the office - Our waiting room no longer offers books or magazines to peruse, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. We have removed some chairs to allow for social distancing. - Appointments will be managed to reduce the number of patients in the reception area. This might mean you are offered few options for scheduling your appointments. In some cases, we might ask you to wait in your car until your provider is ready to see you. - We will confirm every appointment the day before to ask screening questions. Please be sure to contact the office before your appointment. - Our Jamison office is transitioning into ‘well’ appointments in the morning session. Jamison will continue to be reserved for ‘same day sick’ access in the afternoons. Central Bucks Family Practice is committed to the health of our patients and staff. We have taken steps to continue to treat patients for their ongoing health maintenance as well as treat patients who are feeling under the weather. We ask you join us in maintaining a healthy and safe environment. We are currently utilizing ‘telephone visits’. Please call the office for guidance. Our Doylestown location will be reserved for ‘well visits’ and health maintenance visits.... If you have a pre-existing appointment, it’s important that you keep it. However, if you are feeling poorly, please call the office for guidance. Our Jamison location will be reserved for ‘sick visits’. Our staff at this location is taking additional precautions for safety for themselves as well as our patients. If you are feeling poorly, please call the office for guidance. We are limiting access to our office to patients that have appointments. If you need a form filled out or need any sort of order and results, please call the office for guidance. In addition to our regular cleaning and sterilization procedures, we will be routinely and frequently cleaning counters, doorknobs, chairs, handrails, bathroom fixtures, writing implements, light switches, phones and other high-touch areas. We have added resources to our phone lines. Please be patient as we are also experiencing high than usual hold times. Continue to use universal precautions wash your hands frequently, refrain from touching your face and maintain social distancing. We do not have the ability to test for COVID-19 in our offices nor see any patient that is exhibiting signs for exposure.
