CCA had it's only two "home" games yesterday and today where the senior soccer and cross country athletes were honored. (Thanks to Cairn University for hosting! Due to COVID restrictions we are not able to host games in the city limits.) Both the girls' and boys' soccer teams won! It was great to see so many alumni there cheering them on!

Tonito's is owned by CCA alum Katie Nielsen and her husband. Stop by this week and support two CCA alumnae at the same time as they donate 5% of proceeds to Julianne Heilman's Asifiwe Child Care Ministry.

CCA alum Kim Feeley is not teaching at CCA this year because her daughter Autumn is undergoing chemo treatments. Please keep Kim, her husband (fellow alum) Ryan, Autumn and the entire family in prayer. You can keep current by following their blog (linked in this post).... This Friday, CCA will have Yellow Day in honor of Autumn and her battle. (Yellow is her favorite color.) Will you join us and wear your yellow as well?

In July, the staff was asked to pray each night at 7:11 for the reopening of CCA. The time was picked based on Matthew 7:11, " If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!". School started on Wednesday, September 2. Two days before that, Mr. Schiavo took this picture of the rainbow over the building. A timely reminder that God is faithful and keeps His promises.... It is our prayer that the Lord would, for His glory, keep CCA Covid free this year. Additionally, the teachers and students need prayer, not just for the physical, but for patience, flexibility, and creativity as we work to educate in a complicated time in history. We are glad to be back in the building, but things are far from normal. Please keep your alma mater in prayer throughout the year (and consider setting an alarm to pray with us at 7:11 each night). God is good . . . all the time!
