November 3, 2020 / Election Day A Prayer for the Nation by Thomas Jefferson Almighty God, Who has given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech Thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of Thy favor and glad to do Thy will. Bless our land with honorable ministry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united peopl...e, the multitude brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endow with Thy spirit of wisdom those whom in Thy name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that through obedience to Thy law, we may show forth Thy praise among the nations of the earth. In time of prosperity fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in Thee to fail; all of which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. See more

Tomorrow is Election Day and we encourage everyone to VOTE! VOTE your values, LOOK to your leader, and REJECT fear. Be active participants in our democracy. We can look to the future with great hope because we follow the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ.

Prayer for the Day // November 2, 2020 Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Father, we thank You for taking our cares upon Yourself. We cast our cares - I cast my cares - upon You. The cares we face this day: for our families, friends, health, provision, safety, jobs, contentment, homes, neighborhoods, city, others that have great needs, those in authority, the election, the church in America, ourselves and our nation. Thank You for loving us enough to take these cares - for they are too much for us to handle without You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Our Sanctuary will be open and available all day on Election Day (Tuesday, November 3) for prayer from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. We want to offer a space set aside for those who desire to seek the Lord on behalf of our nation on a critical day in American history. All are welcome, whether you are a member of our church or not. Come and pray for a few moments or a few hours.
