CDYFH Here is an awesome opportunity to support two high school field hockey players (Maya Williams and Olivia Griffin) who have been nominated as Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Student of the Year candidates (LLS SOY). Maya and Olivia are dedicated fighting for a change. So, they are asking us to help them Fight to Be the Change for children who couldn’t.... In the last 40 years only 4 blood cancer drugs were created specifically for children. Central Dauphin Youth Field Hockey is putting out registration for a WINTER FIELD HOCKEY LEAGUE at Sports City for players who are currently in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. This is a low cost 7 v. 7 league and although it is indoors we will be playing outdoor rules, with outdoor sticks. (we will know exact cost after we receive registrations but we anticipate it being about $60 or less). Games will take place at Sports City, Linglestown road on Saturday evenings between 6 pm an...d 8:30. The league will run 8 to 10 weeks, beginning January 9. There will NOT be any practices. This is just an opportunity to continue to play field hockey games through the winter. Of course, things are subject to change based upon COVID-related issues, but for now, we are planning on going forward with this program. If you know of anyone who is interested in learning about field hockey, PLEASE pass this information along to them and/or share this post. We would love to see some new players go out this year. In case you have not heard, our Central Dauphin High School Field Hockey team is playing for the PA State Championship tomorrow !!!! Our youth and middle school players (and families) are invited to attend the SEND OFF at 12 PM tomorrow (11/21/20 ) at Central Dauphin High School!! Please attend if you can to show our support! Wear GREEN or CD spiritwear if you have some and have the girls make some posters and bring noise makers! AND REMEMBER TO WEAR A MASK and socially... distance. Regarding where to attend the SEND OFF, meet outside by band room (Door 32). (I think the outside doors at the high school are marked with the numbers.) I am pretty sure if you park near the tennis courts, that will get you where you need to go! Let’s show these players how proud we are of them as we wish them the very best!! P.S. I believe the game will be live streamed through PCN Select at 3 pm.

Just reminding u that registration is due next week! Practice schedule: Tuesday and Thursday’s 5:30-7; beginning August 18, 2020. Attached is the Central Dauphin Youth Field Hockey (CDYFH) Fall registration. At this time, the league we participate in is moving forward with the season. Of course, our lives are different, and our season may also be different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ... For starters, we are only collecting an initial $25 deposit. We will collect the remaining amount when the season begins. There may be changes and/or limitations to our season due to COVID-19. We will keep you apprised of any changes in our season that may occur. But for now we are hoping to be able to practice and play games, with certain restrictions that are being worked on by the league and by CDYFH.
