From all of us here at the Cecil Township Police Department, we wish you a Happy New Year! Please don’t start the New Year off on a bad note. If you are celebrating, please do so safely, responsibly, and do not drive impaired. Use a designated driver, a ride share, a taxi or just stay where you are.

Some pictures from our fifth annual Shop With A Cop. It looked a bit different this year due to COVID, but we were still able to present gift cards to thirty seven kids. Thanks to the generosity of Walmart and Centimark Corp, we were able to spread some much needed holiday cheer. The families were chosen by the Canon McMillan School District. Hopefully next year we can accompany the families while they shop as we have done in the past.

Please do not shovel or push the snow from your driveways and sidewalks into the street. Not only is it illegal, but it is dangerous. Our Department of Public Works has been working around the clock to keep the roadways clear only to have snow pushed back out onto the streets. Also, on street parking will not be permitted in the housing plans until the roadways are completely cleared off.

There is a Winter Storm Watch in effect until this Thursday morning. In order to clear the roadways as quickly as possible, our Department of Public Works is asking that residents remove all items such as basketball hoops from the roadways. On Street Parking will not be permitted in the housing plans until after the storm has passed.
