#CCCSON Assistant Professor, Dr. Todd Hastings, recently presented at two virtual conferences. The first was a podium presentation at the International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses (ISPN) annual conference in June. This presentation examined ways to support mental health awareness in higher education. He also provided podium and poster presentations at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) 34th annual conference in October. Both presentations addre...ssed novel teaching strategies supporting affective learning with the purpose to enhance college student attitudes about people with mental illness. During the conference Dr. Hastings facilitated the APNA Education Council meeting in his role as chair for this council within the APNA organizational structure.
