Who may attend: Certified PE therapists Dates: November 2-6, 2020 Times: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Workshop Location: This is a web-based online learning activity. You will be sent an invitation with instructions to join the meeting prior to the workshop Workshop Description: Training will begin with a review of the theory and empirical work underlying PE. This will be followed by brief overview of PE therapy procedures and assessment methods. The remainder of the workshop will focus on the implementation of PE procedures and training in PE consultation methods. This will include 1) review of the essential elements of treatment rationales and PE sessions; 2) following the guidelines provided in the PE Consultant Manual to evaluate therapists’ adherence and competence in providing PE therapy; and 3) practicing rating PE sessions and providing feedback to therapists. Participants will be provided with a workshop binder that includes workshop slides, adherence rating scales, and the PE Consultant Manual.

The CTSA welcomes Dr. Natalie Anderson, our new clinical postdoctoral fellow! Dr. Anderson recently completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Catholic University of America with a specialty focus in anxiety and related disorders and mindfulness-based behavioral interventions. She has wide-ranging experiences which include working as a clinical evaluator in psychiatric genetics at the National Institute of Mental Health and designing her own mindfulness and compassio...n-based cognitive-behavioral intervention; she brings this compassionate approach to treat clients with distressing levels of anxiety using evidenced-based treatments. At the CTSA, she specializes in tailored treatments including: Exposure and Response/Ritual Prevention (EXRP) for OCD, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, CBT for social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, specific phobias, trichotillomania, and excoriation disorder. If you encounter clients that you think may benefit from these effective, short-term treatment services, Dr. Anderson has immediate availability for evaluation and treatment. Please have potential clients call at (215) 746-3327 or fill out a New Patient Screening Questionnaire and mention Natalie Anderson. Dr. Anderson’s fee for a diagnostic evaluation is $400, a single therapy session is $175, and a double therapy session (sometimes required for exposures) is $350. Our offices at CTSA are conveniently located at 3535 Market Street, within walking distance from Penn and Drexel’s campuses, as well as public transportation. Dr. Anderson is also happy to speak with you or your clinicians further about the services offered and how they may valuable to you or your treatment team- please get in touch!
