We would like to clarify that the lunch with Santa event is canceled but the visit with Santa for those that preregistered is still happening today. If you did not preregister but would like to see Santa you can come from 12:45 to 1:15 today to see Santa.....from a distance of course. Please have the kids bring their Santa letters and wish lists to give to Santa since there will be no sitting on Santa’s lap.

04:26 Centre Hall Fire Company along with mutual aid was dispatched to 241 Boal Gap road for a hunting camp filling up with smoke. Crews from Engine 4-1, Engine Rescue 4-1 and Engine 3-1 got on scene with a smoke condition inside the camp coming up from the floor around the fire place. They worked inside the camp cutting holes in the floor around the fire place to get to the source of the fire. A hose line was then brought in to attempt to extinguish the fire that was very ha...rd to get too being directly under the fire place. A wooden floor joist located directly under the fire place was found to be the main culprit. After the fire was extinguished and no more smoke was visible the fire was placed under control. Great work by everyone this morning and thank you to all that responded to assist with the fire. Along with Centre Hall Boalsburg, Alphas , Millheim and Milroy fire companies all responded to the scene. Thank you Pleasant Gap for standing by at our station during the call. See more

ATTENTION!! It has been brought to our attention that WTAJ News has announced that we are having Lunch with Santa tomorrow. The Lunch event was cancelled a week ago and all those that preregistered have been notified. We apologize for this misinformation. Please message us if you have any questions.

Santa is making his list and checking it twice for his trip to Centre Hall Fire Co. If you are planning on visiting, please be sure to preregister. Due to the strict guidelines and limited space, we are unable to allow entrance if you are not preregistered. We look forward to seeing you there!

Update: The mountain is reopened Centre Hall Mountain is shut down at this time. Pleasant Gap has been dispatched to shut it down on their side also.

Thank you to all the trick or treaters that came out to visit us tonight. We had a great turnout!!

UTV 4 was busy yesterday first getting paged out at 14:32 to assist Co 3 ( Boalsburg ) with an injured hiker off of 311 Bear Meadows Rd in Harris Twp. After UTV 4 assisted in patient extrication from that call they were requested to go to Ferguson Twp to assist Co 5 ( Alphas ) with another injured hiker on Musser Gap hiking trail where they assisted with patient extrication on that call also.

Exactly 1 week away til the Community Night For the Centre Hall Fire Company at Hoss's Steak and Sea in State College. Come out to eat next Friday Nov. 6th at anytime to support the fire company. Show this post for a percentage of your bill to go to the fire company.

Congratulations to Firefighter/EMT Harley Rote on passing her Emergency Vehicle Operations Course this past weekend. Any member who wishes to drive an emergency vehicle needs to pass this course before they can start drivers training.
