It is Great Strides Team Sign Up Week and the challenge is on! Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland CF Super bowl Challenge Cleveland may have stopped our dreams to becoming NFL Super bowl champs but we will not let them beat us again! Our chapter is going head to head against the Northern OH Chapter to see who can win the Super bowl this week. Our goal is to get 65 teams registered between Monday, February 1st and Sunday, February 7th. Whichever chapter gets the most teams registered will win the Super bowl!, while the losing chapter will have to post a video congratulating the other team (Steelers or Browns!) while wearing the other teams' colors. Meet #50Finest2020 honoree Stacie Swanson! Stacie is a 3rd grade English Language Arts teacher at Pittsburgh Public Schools, and she told us she can't wait to get back into her classroom and hug each one of her students! Stacie is no stranger to the CF Foundation. When her nephew was diagnosed with CF at 6 weeks old, Stacie and her family immediately jumped into action to find a way to help. Stacie served as a volunteer leader of Great Strides South Park for MANY years, helpi...ng to coordinate the walk event where her family was one of the top fundraising teams. Now as a #PGH50Finest honoree, Stacie said, " I am committed to finding a cure not only because it has affected my family personally but because all individuals with CF need the assurance that they will see tomorrow, next week and next year." Anyone that knows Stacie, knows she is strong-willed and generous, and we can already see that's true - Stacie is the third-highest fundraiser for this year's class right now, with over $11,000 raised for CFF! Meet #50Finest2020 honoree Robin Rectenwald. Robin is an Account Supervisor at WordWrite, a Pittsburgh-based a PR and digital marketing agency. Cystic fibrosis hits close to home for Robin - her cousin is an adult living with CF, and her uncle is a CF researcher who has dedicated his career to finding a cure - it's no wonder why Robin is so motivated to help CFF! In fact, last month Robin turned her love of cycling into a fundraiser and challenged herself to bike from PGH to DC in 5 days AND raise $5000 for CF in the process!
