I’ve decided to share a few excerpts from my memoir, Crossing The Line. I am beyond excited for the release of my book. I began the writing process in 2019 and ...we are less than a month away from the publication day, February 9th. If you have not ordered your copy, please click the link(https://us.macmillan.com/books/9781250270863) We lost people, over and over, uncles and cousins and friends. Dying young was just the way things were. And we knew that even if we managed to survive, we’d just end up living through the same hard times, the same fear, the same need, that our mother had been living her whole life. And so, on those cold winter nights, when we were all huddled up together on the living room floor, trying to sleep, we’d whisper to each other about how our family was going to be different. How our family was going to get out. We just didn’t know yet. - Kareem Rosser
Our pop up winter camp this week at Chamounix is a huge success! It ‘s hands on and horsemanship focused . Our artist in residence Leah is sharing her talent with our campers and producing some really creative pieces! We are thankful for the mild January weather this week, thank you Mother Nature.

Super proud of Sage and Marc. We had a really fun weekend at Marlan Farm - Horseback Riding & Polo middle school tournament with some great kids. Sage received the horsemanship award and a foot mallet! Contact Chamounix if your youngster is interested in playing polo !

People dump their cats at the stable on a regular basis. We take them in and get them fixed and they become our lovable barn cats. This young momma showed up a couple weeks ago, we named her Dusty. We now have 6 adorable kittens.....

Covid Camp 2020 is in the books! I think by all accounts it went better than we could have hoped for. But really, who knew what to expect this year? We are grateful to parents that trusted us with their children and to the counselors and CIT’s. We had a hot summer and more than a few rainy days and many happy campers. With all the uncertainty in the world we strived to provide as much normalcy as possible. The kids were really good about keeping masks on, which was a plus. We hope to see everyone next year!

We have had several glowing emails from parents this summer. We appreciate that you have entrusted your kids to us this summer! Hello, This week so far has been a magical experience for my kids. Even with the heat they have enjoyed every single moment of being a member of the working farm and riding horses. From the stories they bring home it sounds like they are getting the best of both farm life and camp life. I wanted to thank you for making this possible. The counselors... and CITs sound like they are doing a wonderful job, and all that is being done behind the scenes has made this feel seamless. We are already signed up for camp next week, but I wanted to see if you had any more slots available this summer that can accommodate both Mi>>> and Ma>>>. They have even told me that they want to be CITs the second they are old enough (they are only 8, it will be a while). Thanks so much for creating a horse oasis in Philadelphia! Alexa
These campers were hysterical! They got so excited when they were told they could play in the horse troughs! Josie was the official dunker, by request. #farmfun No change of clothes, who cares !
There were some true diehards willing to get thoroughly drenched during camp
What these ponies put up with in camp
Happy campers !!!
1st week of covid camp in the books! Thank you to all the parents, staff, campers, and volunteers for making this first week such a success! Thank you Leah Macdonald for your creativity and artistic flair. The new format for camp has proved to be well-liked by the staff and kids (sans masks and social distancing). This is a positive change in a challenging situation and we will probably keep most of the new format for next year.
