A big shout out to Tim Hasher owner of Jimmy’s Time Out Sports Pub for helping me provide a delicious lunch to my daughter and coworkers at St. Mary’s...a thank you to Jim Hasher from Hasher Realty for his part in putting this together!

Chase Abstract is set up to process and close our transactions. All processing will be done outside of the office until we get through this troublesome time, not only for the safety of our staff but also our customers. I will reach out to my clients to discuss the plan for our closings. Please keep in mind our closings will not be of the norm, but we will close!

Suggestion from American Land Title Association, which we already had in place at Chase Abstract Company : Arriving to a Closing: Guests are encouraged to use hand sanitizer and/or wash hands upon arrival at our office. Symptomatic Clients: Any guest who exhibits symptoms that may be like coronavirus (fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.) must notify staff upon arrival and we will escort out of common areas into a private closing room. Post-Closing Disinfecting: After... each closing, the chairs, table and door handle will be wiped down with disinfecting wipes or bleach solution. Closing Table Items: Remove pens, paper, extra reading glasses and other items normally found on the closing tables. Distribute new pens to each closing participant and not re-used. Lobby Items: All reading materials, ceramic mugs and other re-usable items have been removed. Children’s Play Areas: Remove children’s play areas and place in storage. Hand Sanitizer: Provide hand sanitizer in closing spaces. If none is available, encourage employees and visitors to wash their hands before and after any closing or other meeting. General Environmental Cleaning: Cleaning personnel are using appropriate germ-killing solutions when cleaning office areas after-hours. We are open during this current crisis, processing transactions and closings without delays on or part. The problem I foresee is that some Counties are closing or limiting access to their court house buildings which certainly can cause delays in our searches. We will keep you updated as to your individual cases as we see potential delays. While we are open we continue to disinfect our office as people enter and leave the building.
