County Health Department communication Not SPAM The Chester County Health Department is sending emails to individuals who have registered with the Health Department to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine asking for confirmation of up-to-date contact information, and to verify that you are still interested in, or need, a vaccine appointment with us. The email from the Health Department coming from Chester County Health Department and with an @mail.vresp.com suffix to t...he email address contains a unique ID code that, when used, lists the person’s name, email address, date of registration and phone number. If a phone number was not provided at the time of the original registration, a phone number is now being requested to ensure additional contact details are on file, in order to have two methods of contact, when vaccine appointments become available. The Chester County Health Department is also calling individuals who are next on the COVID-19 vaccine registration list, to book the next set of available appointments. If you receive a call from the Health Department, but do not recognize the phone number, and do not answer, the Health Department will leave a message, and will call back at a later time. The Health Department will make several attempts to contact those being called and provide instructions in the message.

Did you know the Chester County Archives has a database of United States Colored Troops (USCT) soldiers from Chester County who served during the Civil War? Behind each name in this database is a human story and personal motive for joining the war. These men put on the Union Bluea uniform for a country that did not yet federally protect birthright citizenship or the right to vote for African Americans. The youngest identified USCT soldier from Chester County was 16-year-old ...Joseph H. Moore of Pennsbury. Sixty-three-year-old Richard Adams of West Marlborough was the oldest identified. Access this database and learn more about the history of the USCT at chesco.org/2273/Chester-County-USCT-Index (Image of USCT Troops at Fort Lincoln, Washington DC. From the Library of Congress.)
