It’s the end of another week and no doubt many of us have been challenged by what is going on in our lives, and in our world. This song is a beautiful reminder that God is always with us, in the valleys and on the mountaintops. Due to unforeseen circumstances, all Chestnut Hill Church activities, including Sunday worship and mid-week Bible Studies, have been cancelled for the week of September 27th.

We continue to meet for worship on Sundays at 10:35 am and welcome all to join us. We have not yet resumed congregational singing, and many of us are missing that. Worship music has changed in many ways over the years, but the intent remains the same. Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion; Declare among the peoples His deeds. Psalm 9:11... We hope you will join us this Sunday as we consider God's blessings as shown in Psalms 127 & 128 - "Psalms for the Family." We will gather to worship at 10:35 am. Beginning this week, we will offer a second weekly Bible Study option at Chestnut Hill. Tuesday evening Bible Study (7 pm) with Pastor Scott continues and focuses on biblical teaching by applying apologetics. A new Prayer Time and Bible Study with Pastor Dean will take place Wednesday mornings at 10 am and focus on prayer and learning about the various names of God, such as Jehovah Jireh and Jehovah Nissi. We are encouraged by the promises in God's Word and hope you will join us as we learn and pray together! Beginning on September 13th, we will return to just one Sunday worship service at 10:35 am. The Nursery will be open for preschoolers and will include a Bible lesson. We hope to resume Kids Ministry for the school age kids and Sunday School at a later date. Please pray for safety for those affected, as well as for those who are involved in rescue and recovery. This month, many folks are meeting the challenges of going back to school and college. Please join us as we pray for wisdom, peace of mind, and God's protection for teachers and administrators, students and parents - no matter where learning is taking place. Each month, Chestnut Hill Church selects a community organization to support financially. Our sacrificial offering for August is designated for the Coalition for Christian Outreach at F&M College. CCO places staff on college campuses to build relationships and share the Gospel with students.
