Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) has issued a new regulation that children above the age of two (2) must wear masks in child care. We will begin to place a mask on your child if they are in our preschool group or older. You must send your child with a clean face mask every day. Your child will not be forced to wear a mask. We will be doing lessons on why we wear masks and talking to the children to get them used to the idea..........however any child who... is really resistant will not be forced to wear a mask. Children will not wear masks while in active play outside, while eating or while napping. We will have the children take regular scheduled "breaks" from the masks throughout the day. Any child who appears to have any difficulty wearing a mask due to breathing issues or inability to remove it themselves will not be required to wear a mask. We will begin this policy in about one week.....the center will let you know when we are starting. We want to have some time to get the children ready for this. This is a regulation which we must try to comply with as much as possible....but we will be working with all children to insure they are comfortable with this process. If you have any questions, please speak to your Center Director. See more

Effective tomorrow, June 19, 2020, Luzerne County will be "green". Wyoming County went "green" on June 12, 2020. Just to clarify, green does not change any of the safety procedures we have put in place at our centers. We will still be taking temperatures, limiting who enters the center and staff must continue to wear masks. You can go to the PA Department of Health website to find out what green means to a county. THANK YOU PARENTS for your cooperation in our re-opening! You have all been wonderfully cooperative and we appreciate it.
