Page last updated: 11/6/2020 Pennsylvania has updated the list of states it recommends people quarantine after visiting. The state recommends people traveling to states with high amounts of coronavirus quarantine for two weeks after they get back to Pennsylvania. Below is the current full list of states which Pennsylvania leaders have identified as "at-risk" due to a high rate of the virus. The 34 states listed below have been identified as at-risk areas due to an ongoing h...igh prevalence of coronavirus. Anyone who visits the following 34 states, or will have visitors from these states is REQUIRED to quarantine for 14 days by Children Central. It is every family’s obligation to inform Administration of your travel plans. 1. Alabama 2. Alaska 3. Arizona 4. Arkansas 5. Colorado 6. Connecticut 7. Florida 8. Georgia 9. Idaho 10. Illinois 11. Indiana 12. Iowa 13. Kansas 14. Kentucky 15. Massachusetts 16. Michigan 17. Minnesota 18. Mississippi 19. Missouri 20. Montana 21. Nebraska 22. Nevada 23. New Mexico 24. North Carolina 25. North Dakota 26. Oklahoma 27. Rhode Island 28. South Carolina 29. South Dakota 30. Tennessee 31. Texas 32. Utah 33. Wisconsin 34. Wyoming In addition to the states in which it is recommended that people stay at home for 14 days upon return to Pennsylvania, and recommended that individuals from these states do not travel to Pennsylvania, we also have several neighboring states that meet the travel advisory criteria. Those states are: New Jersey, Ohio, and West Virginia. Given the interconnected nature of Pennsylvania to neighboring states and the region and mode of transport between these states, a recommendation of quarantine for these states is not practically viable. That said, the department highly discourages, to the extent practical, non-essential travel to and from these states while they meet the travel advisory criteria. The state health department says staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others from coronavirus. If you’re sick, you shouldn’t travel and you shouldn’t travel with someone who is sick. For more information, visit the Department of Health's travel guide.

We were really in the Halloween spirit this past week in Toddlers! Our class talked about the holiday and why we like it so much! We made silly spiders using our handprints and paint, Frankenstein faces and 5 little pumpkins on a gate. We had so much fun dancing around like ghosts and saying BOO! We also danced to the Monster Mash. We enjoyed singing the Halloween version of Baby Shark and Hello Trick or Treat. Throughout the week, toddlers practiced pointing to our body parts, saying the names of our friends and our own names, and counting 1-10 in both English and Spanish. We practiced signing for please, thank you and more. Toddlers ended our week with a fun filled Halloween party on Friday. We dressed up in our costumes, and had a fun party as we ate yummy snacks, and listened to Halloween music with all of our friends!!

We got into the Halloween spirit in Toddler Two this past week! We talked about what we were going to be for Halloween. Our class discussed proper manners and rules for trick or treating. Everyone enjoyed reading books such as "Trick or treat countdown" and "Peppa Pig and the Halloween costume." We had fun playing multiple games throughout the week such as witch hat ring toss and trick or treat egg hunt. We loved making crafts this week, which included painting a pumpkin and decorating our own trick or treat bags. We also found special surprises to go home with in the trick or treat bags! The children could hardly wait until the Halloween Party on Friday with all our friends. We had so much fun eating delicious treats, dancing to Halloween music and going trick or treating around the school - what fun we all had!!!!!

In Twaddlers, we did all sorts of spooky and silly activities, as we learned all about Halloween this past week. We learned about silly monsters and how they make us laugh - not scary at all! We used our imaginations and made monsters of our own. We had so much fun exploring creepy crawlers such as spiders and centipedes. We made spider webs from marble painting and moved our bodies like creepy crawlers - that was fun! We pretended to be ghosts and made shadows outside too. During dramatic play we wrapped our baby dolls like mummies. We enjoyed reviewing shapes, colors and practiced spelling our names. We ended our awesome week by having our Halloween costume party. We had so much fun dressing up, eating yummy snacks with our friends and teachers and going trick or treating around Children Central!

Good morning and hello to a new week! In our Preschool class we learned all about pumpkins and Halloween. We learned about the parts of a pumpkin, including the inside. We even got to see the inside of a real pumpkin and touch the pumpkin seeds! Our class talked about what a pumpkin looks, feels and smells like. We reviewed the life cycle of a pumpkin too. One of our favorite pumpkin stories is ‘Spookley the Square Pumpkin’ and we made square pumpkins! We also created ...tissue paper pumpkins, 5 little pumpkin art, and a pumpkin patch with our thumbs. Preschoolers continued to work on our numbers, letters, name and shapes. We enjoyed watching the movie 'Spookley the Square Pumpkin.' We ended the week with a very fun Friday. Our class enjoyed a big Halloween celebration with all of our friends, as we had a big party and got to go trick or treating around the school and collected lots of candy!! A highlight of the day was the class performance of songs, which our families from near and far were able to see on Zoom! See more
