As litter rides en masse on the wind today, please consider participating in a campaign to; https://kab.org/goals/end-littering. You can consider taking on an Adopt-A-Street program (search the Internet or contact your city hall to learn about your local program) or even try https://www.litterati.org, an app that tracks the amount of trash you pick up. Just take an in-app photo of the litter you collected, tag it, and upload it to the Litterati digital landfill.

Was this you? We found these great signs along the waterfront and would love to hear from the artist who thought what we are thinking -- POLLINATOR GARDEN! We a...re early in the planning process but hope to plant this spring. Liatris Spicata, Seaside Goldenrod, and Milkweed are officially on the planting list. Thanks for sharing your vision. More information on how to get involved with gardening and projects at Penn Treaty Park coming soon, but for now, what are your favorite pollinator plants? What would you like to see planted in the park? See more
Yes, my face HAS changed over the years from 1996 until now; you weirdos.
The Friends of Penn Treaty Park will be hosting a FREE (Socially Distanced) Children's Fishing Day on Saturday, 24 October, from 8:00 am - 10:00 am. We will add a second session from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm if the numbers and interest allow. Attendance at this event will be through registration only. We will keep the number of total people present, including volunteers and adult chaperones, to under 25 total participants per session. Please also wear a costume if you would like to... celebrate the time of year! As always, the Friends of Penn Treaty Park will be providing fishing rods and tackle/boxes for the children to keep and take home with them when finished. This day will not be a derby as in years past, but an enjoyable celebration of our connection to the Delaware River. We will recognize any fish caught, the achievements of first time junior anglers as they cast off on perhaps a new hobby, and the cool costumes that may also make an appearance. Please email sandi@childsinspiration for any questions or thoughts, and if you know of anyone who would love to help mentor any of our participants through example, or to help, socially distanced, with the ever needed stringing of hooks, baiting, etc., please do reach out as well. We require that everyone wear a mask, and recommend that everyone bring sanitizer or soap and water if preferred and water to stay hydrated. We are looking forward to connecting with nature and the water on this fun upcoming day.
Text or email me for the 1800 block of Sepviva. If you share this post, please note that this flyer and contact info is for this block.
Schedule for today.
Hi Everyone, Please do your best to not release any wildlife in Penn Treaty Park. We just received an email regarding several non-native species released into... the park over the past few days. This in addition to several other species of non-native animals that have been spotted in the park regularly or brought to our attention in the past. Please stay tuned for opportunities to get involved in citizen science opportunities, opportunities to clear invasives, and become more involved in environmental education learning and initiatives.
Sharing these shenanigans again. I'd love to hear what you all would like to see from the Nature Heroes this fall. How can we help you get through?
Get out there and bioblitz folks.
The pure joy and brightened smile of a child finding a new love will always be one of the best moments at Penn Treaty Park. We've all found ourselves with a need to relive these moments in this unique time we find ourselves; more than ever, we need a connection to nature. Towards the beginning of October, we will be hosting a (Socially Distanced) Children's Fishing Day. Stay tuned for additional information, link to register, and ways to be involved as a Nature Hero and Weed ...Continue reading
