Hello! I hope each of you is staying safe and healthy as we navigate our way through this global health crisis. The concept of maintaining social distance is incredibly foreign to us, and after several weeks, I am sure many of you would love a sense of normalcy. Although the lack of hugs and visits from family and friends may be difficult, it is necessary to avoid spreading this terrible virus. When I decided to close the office six weeks ago, I did so because I felt that... the skill and equipment needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 was lacking. Furthermore, resources and information on the best methods to provide a safe, healthy environment for our staff, and you, our patients, were not yet available. Since that time, more information has become available regarding safety measures, and we have secured the necessary resources to enable us to reopen. For us to meet the state’s guidelines for social distancing, sacrifices will continue to be made. If you are sick, we ask that you remain home and self-quarantine. The office staff will wear masks to protect all of our patients. Patients will also be required to wear masks, to protect the staff and each other. While we plan on opening for our regular office hours, we must limit the number of people in the office at one time to avoid having a backup in the waiting area. We ask that you wait in your vehicle until your scheduled time, should you arrive early. If you are running behind for your appointment, please call the office so that Julie and Melanie can find the best way to accommodate you. Lastly, although we love for guests to visit the office with you, we ask that any drivers or travel companions wait in the vehicle during the office visit. Hopefully, the need for these safety measures does not last much longer, but for as long as they are necessary, we will do our part to keep you all safe while you receive the care that you need.
