Thinking about my mom and dad today. My cousin had recently sent me these two pics of them right when we were trying to decide whether to stay open or close o...ur restaurant as per the Governor’s request. When I saw the one of my mom with her arms open, I knew that was my sign. Either that or they were saying, What the h- are you thinking? Lol Knowing my dad, he would have done exactly what we’re doing, which is to think of our employees first, 2 weeks before Christmas. Who knows how long they would have had to wait for an Unemployment check? Couldn’t in all good conscience do that to them. For all you who disagree with our decision, please don’t judge until you’ve walked in our shoes and have to face loyal employees we consider part of our extended family, wondering if we ruined their Christmas. Sometimes as a business owner, you have to follow your heart. And by the way, we are still following the distancing, masking, and sanitizing precautions to keep our customers, as well as our employees safe. Merry Christmas to all!!!
