The CBPD and it’s members pass along our deepest sympathies to @PhillyPolice, their families and fellow officers of Swat Cpl James O’Connor, married and father of two, who was shot and killed on duty early this morning while serving a homicide warrant.

** PLEASE SHARE On Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 11:00 P.M., this department received a call about an attempted abduction that had just occurred in front of 114 North Bridge Street in Christiana. A female victim stated that an unknown male on foot attempted to force his way into her vehicle as she was inside while yelling at her to let him in. This attempt was unsuccessful due to the victim speeding away. The suspect then attempted to make his way to a second occupied vehicle... in the same area. This attempt, also unsuccessful, prompted the suspect to run away on foot towards the bridge on North Bridge Street. The immediate and extended areas were searched and the suspect was unable to be located. If any resident in the area of North Bridge Street from the post office to the Lions field has surveillance or observed a thin, white male, approximated to be in his 40’s with a beard, wearing a blue hat, navy shirt with blue jeans, contact this department or Officer Brian Smyth who is handling this incident at 610-593-2234 or private message on here.
