Let's start putting a plan in place. A financial plan is similar to a pilot flying from point A to point Z. Point A - where are you at today (where are we flying from) Point Z - where do we want to go (what is our destination)... Sometimes the wind will blow us off course and then change direction and bring us back on track and sometimes we need to take the wheel and make a change ourselves just like a a pilot does to stay on his flight plan. The important part is monitoring the path and where we stand at any given time to know if we can wait for the wind to change or if we need to start to turn ourselves.

Exercise of the day - do the math if you wanted to retire today (assume you are retirement age) Social security will pay what? Investments at 4 or 3% will pay what? Will you work? Rental income?... Total it up. Do you like that number? Will it pay all of your bills? If not call me.
