It's not always all about work Time flies by. It seems as though it were just the other day when I was hanging out in my dorm room at Eastern University, with my roommate. Graduation was coming up, and we had our entire futures ahead of us. But that was back in 1983 - Thirty five years ago! Time has flown by so fast. ... That's why it's important to take some time off now and then, away from work, to enjoy some fun with family and friends. Because, before you know it, you won't have much time left. In that spirit, my brother Randy and I took a trip to Vermont this month - just a short trip - to enjoy skiing together and have some fun in the great outdoors. Because it's not just all about work.

Here is a recent review from a very nice client, who came to me, facing multiple felony charges involving several thousand dollars. I was able to to resolve the case, and get all charges dismissed at the district court level. We did not even have to go to the Court of Common Pleas. It was a pleasure to work with this client, and to know that my efforts were appreciated. This is what the client wrote about me. Hire Chris Now! From day one, facing multiple felony charges, ...Chris reassured me that my outcome would be favorable and he delivered. After heavily researching and consulting with multiple criminal defense lawyers, I found Chris Hemmel to be most actionable and informative of the rest. Chris's expertise and years of experience in criminal law were instrumental in fully resolving my case. His rapport and reputation with the local court system validated that I had a strong reliable attorney who was willing to fight for me. His process was seamless which made the experience mostly effortless for me. A resolution was quickly devised and my case was dismissed. There are "talkers" who will take your money and do nothing, Chris is a "do-er" who will deliver the highest level of service resulting in the best outcome for your case! See more

Lately I've been working so hard that I have neglected to come onto my Facebook business page to share client feedback. I recently received this review from a client after I handled his DUI case. This is what he wrote: "High quality and professional Christopher Hemmel represented me for my DUI case. I had consulted with many lawyers and chose Chris to represent me. He was not the most cost efficient on the market but was well worth the investment. Chris was always organized, focused, and quick to answer any of my questions. He is well connected into the legal community as I often saw him interacting with colleagues. More importantly he was professional and helped me resolve my charges. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone inquiring about his services."

Today, for Throwback Thursday, I want to reflect upon my parents, Bill and Iva Hemmel. While I was growing up in Caldwell, NJ, my father ran his own business for more than 40 years. But, amazingly, he and my mother always had time to attend every choral recital, every stage play, every event that I, or my brothers, were involved in all through my school years. My parents were there for me when I graduated from James Caldwell High School. They were there for me when I gr...aduated from Eastern College. I still have the engraved wristwatch that my father gave me that day. On the back it says, To Chris, Love Dad along with the date of my college graduation. I treasure that watch from my dear, departed Dad. And once again, Mom and Dad were there for me when I graduated from law school nine years later. Mom and Dad are both gone now, but I am so grateful that they were here to see some of the milestones in my life: My graduation from high school and college, the birth of my two sons, my graduation from law school, passing my bar exams, buying my first house, establishing my law career. Thinking of you and missing you, Mom and Dad, on this Throwback Thursday.

It's not just about work Part One Not all posts on this page have to be about the law. Sometimes, I like to write about things that are not work related, because there is more to life than work. It's not just all about work. Today I want to share a story with you about a little lost dog, I found on the side of the road.......Continue reading
