In this week’s scripture Paul describes the model of ministry that he, Timothy and Silvanus used with the Thessalonians which is one of encouragement. Just as the Thessalonians experienced the gentle care and nurture of these three, they are to care for one another with gentleness. They are to support one another in taking the steps that help them grow, knowing they do not do it alone. This message is true for us also. I had the pleasure of visiting Longwood Gardens a few weeks ago and decided to snap some photos and match them up with some music for today's Coffee Break. The piece is something I wrote about twenty years ago titled "In the Undergrowth" which I wrote amidst some vegetative growth in my yard. This Sunday is one of the last of our outdoor services Almost every Sunday, the Sun has woken and done it’s beautiful job. The birds attend in semi quiet presence. While our lives look different our praise to God remains the same. Thankful for this service of fellowship, faith, and the gathering of people who proclaim loudly. We are still here. We are tired but faithful. We are thankful for the weekly refocus on our lives to God, as we are opening our arms wide open.
