Well as most of you know I had stepped back from rescue to a bare minimum for the past year. But it seems we are getting back into the main swing of things again. I was emotionally and financially drained from several severe cases we had back to back with not so happy outcomes. Hopefully we will be doing some nice upgrades to the farm this summer and have some great plans in the future. I know I know I’m horrible at updating the public because I’m so busy living it but I prom...ise to try harder. So wanted to introduce you all to A new intake Justin. He is a little over 19 hands and only 13 years old. Big beautiful Percheron who has sadly gone blind. Justin has been awesome for keeping me on my toes since he came. Apron delivery he was down in the trailer. We got him out of the trailer and couldn’t get him up. So big thanks to the somerset cart team for coming out and helping to get this big boy to his feet. All was well until Sunday again. I dumped the water tub to clean it and spooked the horses and they turned to run and poor Justin fell right over top the round bale and went down under the fence. We had some great friend out to help us tear down fence and help get him back to his feet again. Oh you know just the typical day on the farm here but apparently I’m hearing my stories aren’t normal on other farms at least not on a daily basis lol. Oh well. See more

Bella has come back to the rescue today through no fault of her own. Her adopters had to send her back due to personal reasons. Bella is a 13 year old haflinger... mare. She has limited eye sight though. That doesn't bother her though. She is a very nice riding horse. Former owners had her on the wagon train. Been there done that horse. Oh and the adorable little black beauty with her is gypsy. She is a 7 year old mini who came to us over the summer who is also available for adoption. See more
