Last week, MCC material resources in Ontario sent a last-minute emergency shipment to the remote northern First Nation of Kashechewan, which was preparing for w...hat has become an annual flood and evacuation out of the community. This year, there is an extra complication: the cities that Kashechewan residents normally evacuate to are not prepared to take them in due to their COVID-19 response plans. MCC is a long-time partner of Kashechewan First Nation and responded to requests for assistance with 400 comforters, 2,000 hygiene kits, and 250 Infant and toddlers kits. Kaschechewan residents will live out of their traditional hunting camps until the flood waters subside. Pray for warm, dry, places to stay and for these gifts of hope to reach those in need. #mccpeace

So many of you have reached out and we SO appreciate it! We will offer a donation drop off time this Saturday 4/18 from 10am-12pm at 2233 Frankford Ave. No contact, masks, social distancing, and lots of love will be required! If you can't make it, hang on to your stuff til we reopen, or email [email protected] to see if a pickup is available.

We will be closing at 5pm today through March 27th. Clean out those closets and kitchens! We’ll be ready for all those donations when we are open again! Stay healthy, shake your friend's foot!
