I was honored that CGCA’s Member’s Podcast director Roger Ramirez asked to interview me. This is a window into who I am as an amateur guitarist and community minded being. CGCA stands for Classical Guitar Corner Academy. CGCA is an online guitar course for classical guitarists with over a thousand members from around the world working through a structured and progressive curriculum. But more than that and what attracts and sustains me is the supportive personable community of... guitarists that has formed, (of all levels from beginners to polished professionals) who listen to each other as we share our journey. Dr Simon Powis and his staff treats our lessons and exams and submissions with the clarity and corrections of a conservatory professor and we can’t help but improve when we take these corrections to heart and apply them. These member’s pod casts let us know even more about each other. Happy Birthday Justin Holland and Judith Kruse! Judy you are so luck to share birthdays with this great Classical Guitarist! Good morning from Tampa Florida where my husband and I are being essential workers of a sort as we are providing Grandparent Camp for Morgan 10 and Jackson almost 13 while our daughter and son-in-law go to work as a Covid nurse in Hospital and Police Officer. Traveling down from Pennsylvania we made a couple stops to help out a single friend with mass...ive yard work (I packed my Soloette I have a spare Classical guitar at each of my kids homes haha) and we participated in a Black Lives Matter demonstration in Norfolk Virginia consisting of 5 little old ladies and one gentleman but we had BIG signs haha! The busy street corner was very responsive. I wanted to take time this morning to help you celebrate the life of the great American Classical Guitarist and Humanitarian Justin Holland.
