We received a letter from Bishop Kusserow, this week, specifically asking us to refrain from having any in-person worship services until further notice. This, of course, will shape our thinking and plans for celebrating Christmas Eve together. We have already been preparing a special Christmas Eve service for you (and your family) that will begin at 6:30 pm on that evening. We will send you the link to our Christmas Eve service next week. Dear Partners in Ministry: I am pleased and excited to offer you and many friends of our congregation a chance to gather for our Christmas Eve service in a very different way this year. You should have already received a Zoom link that will enable you to join the live broadcast of our Christmas Eve service and to enjoy a chance to wish each other a Merry Christmas. Our broadcast will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. If you need a link to the service, please let me know. 2...020 has, also, taught us that contingency plans are always good. We are concerned that the volume of people who are using Zoom on Christmas Eve will be very high, that some people may not be able to join us because of challenges with Zoom; and, of course, we are thinking about what we can do, so that our service will continue even if there is a power or Internet outage at the place where our broadcast originates. And so, at 6:30 p.m., we will also offer you the opportunity to join our service using YouTube.
