Looking for information on people responsible for dumping the following in Lawrence Township on 18 Hollow Rd.
Happy Tuesday Clearfield County We checked our Curwensville Recycling Bins this morning and noticed they are all in need of a pull As Soon As Possible. We reached out to our vendor to get something scheduled and they will be there tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28th. One regular compartment and the plastics only will be swapped out. At this time we ask that you refrain from bringing in large quantities until those bins can be serviced. Also remember that if bags are left outside of the bins this is considered illegal dumping and if caught can result in a fine.
It’s Autumn and that means lots of Falling Leaves ! Some municipalities will pick up your leaves and yard waste, or they'll have a designated place for you to drop them off for composting. We strongly encourage you to contact your local municipality to learn if such options are available and hours of operation. If your municipality does not provide such services consider the following options. 1. COMPOST- Compost is an excellent natural fertilizer for your lawn and garden. Y...ou may want to break the leaves down into mulch before putting them into the compost pile if you want them to decompose faster. You can use the decomposed leaves to fertilize your garden in the spring. 2. MULCH -When there are leaves on the ground, run them over once with a mower. Then rake them right into your landscape beds. Or if you have a garden consider tilling them directly into your garden’s soil. 3. SHELTER - Consider keeping the brush pile near the edge of your property as a shelter for birds, chipmunks and other wildlife. 4. KINDLING- You can also set sticks aside for use as fire kindling. Many folks in our areas have wood burners and those tree branches can make for a great fire starter material.
