Job duties include concrete placement and finishing duties on heavy/highway civil and bridge construction projects in a safe, efficient manner to achieve a quality finished product. At least 5 years of experience is required. The ideal candidate will have a passion for construction and hav...e an appreciation for the fast-paced environment of our industry. Must have a willingness to work outdoors in various conditions, including hot and cold weather. Travel may be required. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of duties including but not limited to quality, safety, and production. Competitive wages and benefits including Prevailing and Davis-Bacon Act wages. DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the forming, placing and finishing of concrete (this job requires hands on involvement) Install reinforcing rods in order to strengthen the concrete. Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float. Pounding stakes, setting and removing forms for concrete and other non-machine tasks. Cut joints or grooves to ensure that cracking does not transpire and apply hardening and sealing components. Must be able to finish concrete with little supervision (primarily flat work). Work with Superintendents, Foremen, Owners, Subcontractors and others in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company. Must adhere to safety practices and work under the direct supervision of the Superintendent. Clearwater Construction crews have been working diligently on constructing substructure units on four bridges at the I-66/Route 28 Interchange for FAM Construction, LLC and the Transform-66 Outside the Beltway Project.
