As a reminder, the Clinton County Genealogical Society will be holding its September meeting on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. In addition to the usual discussion of our goings-on and general family research, we are very excited that Rich Wykoff, of the Renovo Heritage Park, will be giving a presentation on the history of lumbering in this region. Please join us for FREE for what should be an interesting and entertaining evening. Here is the Zoom link. Hope to see you there! https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88496922865

The Clinton County Genealogical Society recently donated a 10-volume set of all cemetery inscriptions in the county to the Clinton County Veterans Affairs to assist in locating and honoring the graves of all county veterans. Society members Ed and Joan Summerson also donated an index to the ten-volume set. Pictured are Justin Houser, Society President; Kathy Gates Snook, Society Treasurer; Jennifer Hagaman, Veterans Affairs Director; and Jeff Croak, Veterans Service Officer.

Our March meeting was a wonderful event. Bonnie Hannis of the Clinton County Historical Society gave us a hands-on overview of the Society’s collection! We had a lot of fun trying to identify some of the interesting artifacts that were part of our ancestors’ daily lives.

A reminder that tomorrow evening we will have a very special program. Sunday was the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, the "War to End All Wars." Joby Topper, Director of Library and Information Services at Lock Haven University, will speak on Clinton County in World War I. It should be a very interesting and informative event. Our meeting will be tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13, at 7:00 p.m., at the LDS Church, 8 Noll Drive (off Route 64), Mill Hall, PA 17751. Hope to see you there. Bring a friend!

Belated 60th anniversary greetings to long-time CCGS members and volunteers, Ed and Joan Summerson! Ed has served as CCGS Auditor and Joan serves as Newsletter Editor and as former Vice President. They have helped out over the years with the cemetery project, the church records project, the atlas project, festival appearances, and others too numerous to mention! We hope that you had a wonderful day!
