I am very proud of a non-profit recently launched with a talented group of professionals. Our ultimate goal is to introduce legal concepts and potential careers in law to underrepresented youth. This is a long term commitment to diversifying the practice of law in Pennsylvania, and beyond. Please give our page a follow. Thanks!

Suiting Up. Feeling Nostalgic During the Holidays. Pre-pandemic, for male attorneys, the standard "uniform" was suit, shirt, tie. Gray suit/navy suit, black shoes/brown shoes, white shirt/blue shirt. It really can get monotonous. One way to distinguish yourself from the others, is to keep a fresh rotation of ties. Brighter colors in the spring and summer, oranges and reds in the fall, and darker colors in the winter. Then, on really special occasions, you have your nove...lty ties. I have baseball themed ties, a Sixers tie, a tie emblazoned with the mascot of the political party I favor, and, of course, Santa ties. As my social media feed reminds me of holiday parties of years past, part of me just wants to jump out of my skin. This is the time to share cocktails and laughs, reflect on a year gone by, and anticipate another one on the horizon. For so many reasons, this year is like none other. The big holiday parties will have to wait. That said, we can take solace in the fact that we have made it this far, and we will survive. Someday soon, we will return to court. We will attend baseball games. And, we will celebrate with friends and family at parties again. When we do, we will be even more appreciative of what we have, and what we've been through. When Christmas in July comes around in 2021, I will wear my Santa tie again. #staypositive #COVID19 #cmfoxesq

Texting in Spanish...Kind Of I love receiving referrals from lawyers and doctors. That said, the best referral, by far, comes from a former client. There is no better compliment. Just exchanged several texts in Spanish with a former client who reached out to refer a friend, who recently sustained a foot injury at work. While I understand a great deal of Spanish by virtue of hearing hundreds of hours translated in real time, I certainly don’t speak or write the language.... Using Google translation, we were able to conduct the rudimentary conversation, via text, necessary to set the prospective client up for an appointment on Monday, when I will have an actual interpreter available. #clientaccessibility #bilingualtexts #thankyoutechnology #cmfoxesq

Just completed the deposition of a widow in a fatal COVID-19 case. Just heart-wrenching. Remind your loved ones you love them every day and wear a mask.

For every millionaire minted by NFL success, there are a dozen anonymous undrafted free agents, and practice squad players. If they catch lightning in a bottle, then can make very good money for a typically short career. That said, the game they love often leaves them battered, bruised, and often worse. The Affordable Cae Act provides some protection in that regard, but the future of the ACA, aka "Obamacare," is now very much in doubt. https://www.washingtonpost.com//nfl-players-obamacare-sup/

Just finished my last hearing of 2020, a closure of the record on a Harrisburg case, comfortably completed from my kitchen table with coffee in hand. When I left court in Easton on March 14, 2020, I posted that I may have completed my last in-person hearing for a while. Possibly the understatement of the year. There is much to lament about the year 2020. Public health and economic crises that touched us all from one extent or another. Our industry will continue to operate... remotely for the first quarter of 2021, at least. Regardless, we will push forward. Tomorrow is another day, and Friday is another year. 2020, can't say I'll miss you. #byebye2020 #newyear2021 #cmfoxesq
