Students from China and Taiwan face some unique issues when contacting and interviewing with U.S. employers. In this presentation, attendees will gain some insights into the critical factors for success in conducting a U.S. job search. In addition, the presentation will cover the legal and employment restrictions associated with international students. Tips and advice for professional career advancement will also be offered. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ENTIRE PRESENTATION WILL BE IN MANDARIN. Speaker: Donna Tung is the director for global business development at IAS Group, a boutique international business consulting firm. Ms. Tung has worked on issues related to international trade, international education, and U.S. competitiveness. She is also in charge of the company's personalized training programs designed for international students to advance their academic and career searches in the United States. She offered international students invaluable advice on career development and help them secure job opportunities and work visa sponsorships in the United States. Ms. Tung earned a B.A. in Diplomacy from National Chengchi University in Taiwan, and a M.A. in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University.
