For those looking to help in future Mass Vaccination Efforts, we encourage you to visit serv.pa.gov The South Central PA Regional MRC unit serves our area. While plans and logistics are still being worked on in our region to set up vaccinations, we cannot be more appreciative of the MRC members who are getting ready for this mammoth effort. Consider joining today- both medical and non-medical volunteers are needed.

We put the first vehicle with our new livery in service today! As we replace units, new vehicles will all incorporate a new checkered pattern for safety along with other design tweaks. Thank you to Ryder Graphics in Mechanicsburg for helping to make our new Wheelchair van look so spiffy!

1-28-2021 14:42pm - A large structure fire has been reported at 1159 Harrisburg Pike, this incident is bringing in multiple responders from around the area. Use caution both on the Harrisburg Pike and on I-81 around the Middlesex exit (52) as smoke and embers from the fire are spreading and impacting travel.

We've been active participants in Toys for Tots for several years now, but this year will require us to act a bit differently. With the combination of pickup spots being closed, more individuals doing online shopping, and other disruptions from the pandemic we're rethinking how we can help make the holidays bright for the less fortunate in our area. We are seeking neighbor groups to help us host/advertise an "Ambulance Stuff Saturday." We would bring an ambulance to a neighb...orhood location for 1-2 hours to collect new, unwrapped Toys for Tots. The entire ambulance + toys would then be run through our Aeroclave decontamination system for added safety. If your neighborhood is interested in hosting us, please contact our front office by emailing [email protected] or calling us at 717-249-0012 extension 7003. There is no cost to having us out, but it is limited to Saturday afternoons (and possibly early evening) only. Thank you!

Today, we honor the legacy of the responders from law enforcement, fire, and EMS disciplines that perished on 9/11, those who suffered for their heroism later, and those survivors who continue to struggle with the loss of loved ones. We especially remember the years it took congress to permanently authorize compensation for responders who suffered long term health consequences from their response, especially in light of the health risks we face during COVID-19. We call upon ...leaders who pledge to "never forget" to pass aid bills for responders that are long overdue. The memory of those lost responding to 9/11 is only truly honored if we’re able to continue the response, and we're ashamed that things like prohibiting patients from pocketing insurance checks, hazard pay for emergency responders, a grant process that allows for more flexible use of funds for fire departments, and more continue to be stalled among both the executive and legislative branches of our government. We urge them to pass laws that support responders who suffer long term health impacts from their care, who perish on duty as a result of the pandemic, and who live the same spirit of sacrifice those brave men and women gave on 9/11.
